The Environment Agency (EA) has shared a Briefing Note regarding the Drought in East Anglia declared on 12th August – see the EA press release here (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/environment-agency-chairs-national-drought-group-as-parts-of-country-move-into-drought). The Briefing Note, which can be viewed here outlines the current situation, the potential impact of Drought on the environment and what the Environment Agency is doing to address these issues.

The EA encourages the public to report sightings of fish in distress or other impacts on the environment to their 24hr Incident Hotline: 0800 80 70 60.
