CPRE Hertfordshire has launched a petition urging the government to change the definition of ‘grey belt’ in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). The current definition of ‘grey belt’ could result in the loss of our countryside forever – countryside which is vital for health and wellbeing, combatting climate change and supporting wildlife.
