The Big Urban Forage, Saturday, 31st August, 11am – 1.30pm, Cambridge

Cambridge Sustainable Food are on a mission to collect unwanted seasonal fruits and turn them into chutneys, jams and sauces. They hope to raise awareness of the benefits of upcycling surplus food and empower the local community with knowledge about the seasonality and availability of produce on their doorstep.  

Teaming up with local foraging experts Earth and Mind on Saturday 31st August, they are looking for volunteer foragers and fruit collectors (anyone with bike panniers, cars, or vans!) to help pick and collect fruits from in and around central Cambridge from 11am until 1:30pm.  

All equipment and instructions for safe, sustainable foraging will be provided as well as tasty refreshments and snacks. Please email volunteer@cambridgesustainablefood.org to register your interest.
